About Rachel:
I was born in Hillsborough, NC growing up with four brothers and one sister. I attended the University of North Carolina Greensboro, where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. During my tenure at UNCG I pursued my passion for fitness by receiving an IFTA certification and coaching aerobic classes at the University.
Shortly after graduating, I made the big move to New York City where I chased my dream of being a successful actress and Musician. As I juggled acting, music, auditions, performing, creating, and bartending, I also continued to focus on my passion for fitness. In 2011, with the push from some of my best friends, we trained for, and completed, the NYC Marathon. In 2013, my fitness journey led me SoulCycle in New York City’s West Village studio. After riding for a few weeks, I knew I had to become an instructor. This lead me to an intense 12-week training program. I graduated in the 12th training group and jumped right into being a full time instructor. I was named Senior Instructor in 2016 and started working for corporate as a Training Officer. After developing a strong following in the New York market, I was given an opportunity to help expand the growing Miami market. In 2016, me and my then fiancé/now husband, Zack, packed our bags and headed for palm trees, beaches and an amazing opportunity. After helping train many other instructors in Texas, Miami, and Denver, I became a Master Instructor in 2019.
Fast forward to me being 28 weeks pregnant and the world closing with mandatory COVID-19 shut down. I had to find a way to keep the community I built at SoulCycle engaged. I knew we needed to move our bodies and also find a way to remain fit and healthy during my pregnancy. Drawing from my love for movement and the mindset that “with community we can achieve anything”, I created my own fitness brand: Cardio Tone Sculpt by Rachel. I then taught this format 1-2 times a day online for free in my garage.
My vision was to create a safe, effective, yet intense workout for all fitness levels, focusing on modifications that would allow me to teach throughout my pregnancy. We did CTS everyday (except for Sundays) up until the day before my son, Charlie, was born. What started as a way to get through COVID-19, had become something that my community wanted to continue. Since re-openeing SoulCycle, I now only teach this format for private clients, on Retreats and at Sunset Sweat and Sip events.
Once the world re-opened, I met with my dear friend and Yoga Instructor and together we partnered up for two new businesses; Hosting a podcast and hosting Retreats. This began our newest company called "More Than Sweat". Every Monday we release a new Podcast and we also host 2 Retreats a year at different locations in and out of the United States. At this point, we have released two seasons of podcasts, and hosted four successful retreats! We have another one coming up in November in Sedona Arizona. There are a few spots left if you are interested! Check out my site under "travel" at RachelLoebs.com. A link to our podcast is also on my site.
In December 2022, I delivered my daughter via VBAC. It was one of my proudest moments reminding me that we as women can do anything we put our minds to. I am so proud to be a mom, a wife, a SoulCycle instructor, and a business owner. Showing my children what we can do and achieve is my biggest honor.
